Fourth Of July was Epic!

Our first “Above The Boom” 4th in Big bear was epic!

With extended family visiting from out of state (one of whom was born on the 4th) we decided to spend the holiday at Chateau Wonderland in Big Bear. The day was fantastic! The kids (ages 4, 5 and 7) loved riding the chair lift to the top and exploring before dark. There were bounce houses, face painters, live music and great barbecued grub!

When the big moment arrived everyone scrambled down to a big patch of grass to watch the fireworks. A few tips - Bring blankets and warm clothes (it gets chilly up there when the sun goes down) and get your tickets early to this incredible mountain top event because it sells out every year.
